There’s a variety of reasons people come on the Kenyan Experience with the Nasio Trust.

For some it's the idea of combining travelling across Kenya on safari with meeting and helping 'real' Kenyans. Some take part because October is the time when their kids are leaving the nest to go to college or university, and they want something positive to focus on.

Alex’s Story – 6 Weeks In Kenya

Trying to describe the 6 weeks I spent in Kenya to people when I came home was actually very difficult without having a good 3 hours to spare. Not only was it the most incredible 6 weeks I have had in my life, but also it taught me many life lessons.

From elation, sadness, delight and relief, these were just some of the emotions that I went through on my trip. I was able to experience Kenya and the trip made me realize how fortunate I am and as well as giving me the opportunity to see and do many things I never thought I would get the chance to do, and for this I have to give all thanks to the charity.

Matt gears up for Kenyan fundraiser

A Shirebrook man is planning a trip to Kenya to build a hospital and donate four Land Rovers which can be used as ambulances by local medics.

The expedition has been organised through the Nasio Trust - an international charity which runs day-care centres in western Kenya providing orphaned children with a daily meal, education, medical care and support.

Richard Speaks To The Rotarians!

Hucknall Rotarians were captivated by the latest inspirational speaker that addressed their weekly meeting at the Horse and Groom Linby.

Local joiner Richard Channer told how a chance conversation with a friend who was involved in a little-known charity, The Nasio Trust, led to him going out to Western Kenya for 8 days in 2012 to help renovate an Orphanage Day Centre.

Nasio Spinathon Success

On Wednesday 15th July business accommodation provider Jennings organised a charity fundraiser on their main site Monument Park, near Chalgrove.

The participants cycled standing bikes for 8 consecutive hours, and travelled a distance of 436km - the equivalent of from Chalgrove to St Ives in Cornwall!

Jan Hrebien treks to Everest Base Camp

I always wanted to trek to Everest Base Camp and, having climbed Kilimanjaro for the Nasio Trust in 2011, decided to trek for the Trust again.

I flew out to Kathmandu via Delhi on the evening of 18th October and arrived on Saturday afternoon (and a 6 hour time difference). On Sunday afternoon I met my guide Lopsang and porter Dendi for a trek briefing.
